History of LEI Field

In 2020, the West Liberty Ball Association unveiled the finishing touches to our all new, state of the art, LEI Field at Dodge Park.  LEI Field meets all Little League International specifications and guidelines.  LEI Field features a synthetic turf infield, the first of its kind in Logan County.  The field was graciously donated by LeVan's Excavating Inc.

Other amenities of LEI Field, along with installation dates, include:

2015:  Outfield fence was replaced and we included an "Orange Monster" in the left field corner.  The "Orange Monster" is a 10' tall fence panel that runs 40' long.

2016:  Wood dugout covers were installed over the existing open topped dugouts.  The dugout cover posts were moved inside in 2020 and painted orange and black.

2016:  An 8' diameter wooden bullseye was placed behind the fence in left center field.  Players who hit the bullseye win a free pizza from one of our local pizzeria's.

2017:  Foul poles were installed on the field.

2018:  A state of the art sound system was installed for pregame music, the National Anthem and announcements.

2019:  A major league sized portable pitching mound was purchased for use on the field.

2020:  Grading, drainage and synthetic field turf was installed on the infield.
