Big News! Tiger Travel Teams Returning & Expanding for 2026!

We are excited to share some great news following the success of our first season of Tigers Travel Baseball in 2025! The WL-S Ball Association will be bringing back the Tiger Travel Baseball Teams for 2026 — and expanding to three teams!

Even better — with enough interest, we are hoping to introduce a Tiger Travel Softball Team option in 2026 as well. This is a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to challenge themselves, build skills, and represent our community at a competitive level.

What Can You Expect from Tiger Travel Teams?

✅ An Affordable Travel Ball Option — While travel ball costs more than the traditional rec league, we are committed to keeping it as affordable as possible compared to other area programs. The cost this past season was $300, and we are exploring ways to REDUCE that cost even further in 2026.
✅ More Competitive Play — Teams will play both home and away games against other local travel teams. We aim to keep the travel within 1 hour of West Liberty, with many away games in nearby, familiar towns.
✅ Increased Commitment — Expect more practices and games, held on weekdays and weekends. In 2025, Tiger Travel teams practiced an average of twice per week throughout the season, and the goal is to maintain practices at that frequency.
✅ Extended Season — The season will start earlier and end later than rec league. In 2025, the Tiger Travel Teams began practicing in March and concluded their season at West Liberty’s annual Fireworks Classic Tournament at the end of June. With additional interest, Fall Ball opportunities are also available.
✅ Player Perks — Players receive two uniforms (home and away), a unique team hat plus a team hoodie.

🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Where: Dodge Park

➡ Who Can Try Out?

• Any interested softball or baseball player who will be 12 or under on April 30, 2026 or in 6th grade or lower.

👉 Players should bring: glove, bat, helmet, cleats, pants, catcher’s gear (if interested in catching), and any other equipment for drills.

Traditional Rec League Still Available

We know travel ball isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay! Our traditional rec league will still be offered for all players. Participation in assessments is not required for rec league play.
